My professional research encompasses a
number of subject areas. One primary research focus is the federal estate tax. I have also done considerable research on risk and insurance issues,
covering health, auto, and terrorism and catastrophe insurance. My
other research areas include tort reform, the individual income tax, federal spending, and family income, My current project involves examining the intersection of public with virtual worlds. I am particularly interested
in the areas of taxation, virtual property and crime/terrorism. The report will also consider the numerous beneficial applications of virtual worlds, such
as learning, corporate communications, social networks, and the U.S. military.
